Default LS7 cam. worth it?

I have the opportunity to pick up an ls7 cam for cheap (read: basically free). would this be worth throwing in my relatively stock 4.8 for the time being until i go with something made more specifically for my truck?

i was thinking about doing an underdrive pulley at some point, so it would make some sense to install the cam while i have the pulley off.

also, is the 4.8 a 3 bolt cam or will i have to get a different sprocket?

thoughts?

211/230 .591"/.591'' 120LSA -19.5 degrees of negative overlap

It prolly wont make any power down low off idle haha.

You will lose some power down low but you should gain 30-35 rwhp up top...it would be worth it...wht heads do you have? What year 4.8?

its a 2002 rcsb. i havent looked at the casting number on the heads lately, but they are stock.

its a daily driven street truck, so i would prefer something that doesnt sacrifice the low end too much. i think ill just save my pennies and get a properly speced cam.
