i am new here and i'm sure this has been asked before. i have an LS6 out of a 2001 Z06. can i just drop it into my truck and use my trucks intake, fuel injectors, accesories, oil pan, pcm, etc. if theres a good link on this please post it. thanks. my truck is a 99 silverado, rc sportside 4x4, 5.3l, auto. thanks

 

Everything you said will work but I don't think your stock injectors will be up to the job. If you change injectors then you will need pcm tuning. You might need a little anyway for idling.

 

I think the max rwhp for th 99 injector is in the low 300s. They should be fine as long as you keep the rpms down. It should run fine on the stock tune, but obviously you will see good gains with tuning.

I think you'll love the power gains over your stock 99 5.3 and the 100 pound weight loss will be nice too.

 

what injectors do you recommend? LS6? 6.0? i work for the chevy dealer so any GM parts that will work are a plus cuz i get them cheap.

 

oh yeah i more thing. hows the 4L60E going to handle the extra power? thanks
