Hell yea!! Will you install the converter or will someone do it for you? Things gonna pop off the line real nice!! The seat of the pants gain on the street will be far more than the cam. Btw where are your shift points?

A few trans mods I recommend while it's out... Billet 4th servo and boost valve from sonnax. If you don't do them it's not the end of the world but it will help holding power in all gears, especially 3rd and 4th which are notorious for losing clutches... Ask me now I know lol

You'll surprise a few tbss on the street for sure. Those jeeps are deadly though... Extremely short gears and a loose converter by factory standards coupled with an engine that makes a ton of torque in a SUV that's a lot lighter than yours. Take out all your back seats and go hunting!! Lol

a buddy of mine will do the install with me hes worked on these trannys before...and i will look into those mods aswell thanks! man im hoping to break atleast a second of my ET my best is 17.1 you think i can break into the 15s? elevation kills it here..

yeaa those tbss are my first goal after that il go for the srt8s because those things are powerful jaja at the track here they are doing mid 14s stock i believe but i have no 3rd row seats hitch or a spare already, next is a fibberglass roll pan to loose that extra weight and lets see what it does..extreamly exited for all this jaja

Cool that sounds about right. I'm sure it feels awesome.

And as far as shaving over a second off your times... That's gonna be really hard. That's a LOT of time. What were your 60' times before? I wouldn't be surprised at all to see your 60' drop by .3 and 1/4 mile times improve by .6.

Remember as you get later in the season DA is only getting worse.

Yup... not gonna sugar coat it that's really bad lol.

The key words in your last post are big cam. His bottom end is even softer than yours and it was starving for a converter... yours isnt quite as bad. That said with a 60' that is that slow You may actually see the increase youre looking for.

Done. New cam shipped for $288. You will lose a little bit on the bottom. However, the power will hit hard around 2500rpm and pull hard all the way to 5500rpm. You won't even notice the cam at all with a trailblazer stall. You will gain 60+rwhp and sacrifice basically nothing.
Would you guys recommend this cam in a turbo 5.3l setup? Turbo will be a bws366, 4l80e, 3600 fti converter in my 2800lb 240sx. Any input is appreciated! Didn't want to make another thread, hope the OP doesn't mind.

converter is installed!! took 3 days by myself mostly...alot of patience and alot of learning...everything came out great! stall feels awesome and now launches great...one small issue tho..i did notice that its only stalling to about 2800-2900 but its a 3200 stall..i checked the oil yesterday after a couple of laps driving with the stall and oil level semmed fine...after today i checked it and its about half a quarter inch under the hashmarks so i gotta add more oil...my question is will the added oil get the stall to go up to 3200? thats the only thing that kind of dissapointed me a bit...another thing is that it will still not break the tires loose..it really wants to but they still hold on..im running nitto 420s are these tires pretty sticky? i know with my stock 17s it should do the trick..it stalled on me a couple of times but im still waiting on my retune from black bear...stall feels great tho from a launch and deffenetly funner to play with at low speeds..although i do feel that i will notice a drop in my MPGs
