Default LS6 Cam in a 5.3L

Hi. A buddy of mine is offering me a 02 Z06 LS6 camshaft.
Wondering if it would be a fair cam for a 04 Avalanche?
running 3.73 right now.but I have 4.10's for it.Installed so far are AEM CAI.Corsa exhaust,HP tuners software.
It's a daily driver,I would need to install the LS6 springs also.
I was also thinking of a Comp 206/212 cam.
I know it sounds small, but the AV is alot heavier than the pick up for sure,LOL....
Headers is on the list.Just want to make it work better.I'm use to run Big blocks truck.Big difference for sure.LOL....
Thanks

The max size cam I would run in an SUV is a 212/218, and that's if you have a stall around 2500+. If you're gonna run a stock stall, i'd go with something like a 208/214 or 210/216 on about a 112lsa for a nice lumpy idle.

The one I was looking at was Comp XR259HR
206/212 .515/.522 and 112
I think it may be better than the Z06 because the Z06 is at 117 range and is really made for a Vette.I was just wondering if somebody tried it in their pick up or SUV.
Supermaxx headers, Scorpion roller rockers,180 stat and underdrive crank pulley is on the list.Should help the big Chevy.
Thanks for your input.Much appreciated.

Eh, the wide duration is really why it is...

If you're wanting something with that low of a duration (torque, I know, I have a yukon) then I'd go with the high-lift version of that camp. They don't make a high lift version of 206 duration, so I'd suggest this...

208/212 .554/.558 112lsa

Upgrade your springs and push rods, too. You'll have to for such a high lift. It'll help it breath a bit better
