Default LS2 Intake install

Here are some pics of my recent LS2 intake install

The Install was straight forward, the only real issue was the water pump. I had to relocate the water outlet.

I work at a dealer in parts so I had access to all the illustrations and parts that I needed. I used all the ls2 corvette gto intake, fuel rail, injectors, and throttle body, purge solenoid and hoses. Idler relocation bracket and injector conns from speartech. A longer belt is also needed. I've got Lt headers with ory, t56 m12 tranny, ls2 flywheel clutch and pp and a few other odd and ends. I may have lost a little on the bottom but it makes up for it above 2500rpms. I also had to tweak the fuel rail to get it to connect to my feed line.

The LS2 uses a 90mm tb whereas the ls6 used a 78? I think?. Plus from the dealer the ls2 is half the price of an ls6. I also had to use a different tac module and a harness adapter from speartech. I really just wanted to use factory stuff with a 90mm tb so maybe later on I can stuff more air into it

The injector connectors from Speartech - where they plug and play or did you have to cut and splice?

They were cut and splice, no big deal, just a couple minutes of work.

yes but the ls6 is still the better intake to be honest. they showed a ported ls2 intake and it still couldnt touch the flow of a stock fast 90

Quick That Is True... But You Have To Realize There Is A Difference Between Maximum Flow Numbers... And Port Velocity....

And The Ls2 Has Excellent Port Velocity Which In Turn Adds To Excellen Cylinder Fill Ability.

The Ls6 Is Great If You Are Standing On It All The Time... But The Ls2 Has Great Daily Driver Potential....

If You Are Building A Igh Strung Race Motor Go Ls6 If Its Dd With An Attitude The Ls2 Will Do...

And I Love Working At A Dealer... The Ls2 Intake Is So Much Cheaper

the ls2 intake is cheap so is the l76 but the ls6 which is a performer is pricey

they compare a ls2 to a ls1 as in flow. a truck intake IMHO is probably bette off then the ls2 intake
