Default ls1tech thank you

Just thought Id throw this out there before I go to the track for the first time tomorrow.
Ive gotten the engine setup done on my NA 02 ecsb z71, just got the thorleys on today and also got hptuners today. Im missing ud pulleys and efans (theyll have to wait) Ive been so stoked to get this stuff done. Im feeling alot better about all the work Ive put in over the past 8 months since I got the truck, alot of swearing, sweat, blood and some tears. My goal in the beginning was to run 13's na in this truck, with it being a daily and only driver and I feel after doing some test runs tonight with hp that it is well within reach.

Id like to thank everyone on this board when I first started on this venture I really new very little compared to what I do know. I get pissed when **** doesnt work out right but now its all coming togethor.

Just to give you all some numbers I did some 4wd launches after a little tuning (still alot to work out only running 22.5 at wot). When I stall up anything over 2400 rpm in 4wd overpowers the breaks and Im really standing on them hard. I got from 0 to 60 in less than 6 secs most ranged from 5.3 to 5.8 and this is an NA setup!!!
I need more stall for this cam because it really hits hard at 4500 and I cant seem to lauch at anything greater than 2400 with a 3k stall in 4wd?

Once again Id like to say thanks to all the vendors, moderators and great people on this site, this is the internet at its best. This truck suprises everybody including myself, I couldnt done it without you guys. And a big props to Gamedawg for helping me with tuning
"YOUR GONNA BLOW IT UP"

Have one on me Everyone

Good luck. I'm just starting on mine with a goal of solid 14's. I'm not new to hi-po vehicles, but I am new to the gen III engines. this site has helped me tremendously. My truck will turn 100k within the week, I ran a 15.5 tonite with the free mods found on this site, a Hypercrap tune (slowed me down a few 1/100's last Fri.) And a set of LS1 fans I bought from a guy on this site. With a cam, stall ,real tune, and Exhaust. I may accidentally break into the high 13's. Then it may be time for a sneeky Pete to make them solid. Congradulations on the new found knowledge, confidence, and money pit.

I got to drive it the other day in 4hi
I was impressed

we need to get some vids of it
especially the launch

after all the bad luck you've had
Im glad to see you got it all worked out
and it paid off in the end
Its amazing how something as simple as
exhaust can hold you back so much.

i dont know if it will help your ET at all but you could try the trick i just learned for geting it to stall higher.

pull up to the line, put it in neutral, mash the brake HARD and hold it, give the motor a good rev, put it back in gear, floor it and dont let off the brake till you feel like the rpms are about done going up.

just dont blame me if it blows up. i was only able to pull 2.0's(2800rpm and 0-1psi) with my new turbo till i learned that trick, now i can hold it back to at least 3500 and 8psi wich nets me some low 1.7's and lots of wheel spin.

i didn't break it doing that. i broke it at the 2-3shift but yeah, might not be good for it. it will definatly put some heat into it. you dont want to hold it like that for long.
