I have my motor out and the ls1 sitting net to my 5.3 and the ballencer is different. I am running my truck acceseries so can I use the ballencer off my truck???

 

yes

 

they do the same thing, just the truck balancer sticks out approx. 5/8" further foward than the LS1 balancer. if you want to use truck accessories, definaltely use the truck balancer otherwise the belt will not lign up if you use the LS1 balancer

you will have to mod the truck alternator bracket by welding or bolting a plate in place so you can move the idler pulley over and down approx. 4"...if you do not the throttle body will not clear the idler pulley

by the way that was bad info on moving the idler pully I didnt have to do that.

 

That's only if you use the LS6 intake. I assume you reused the truck intake.

 

yep all the truck stuff went back on.
