I've searched and have not found the answer yet. planning on dropping a stock long block Ls1 into my 05 sierra. also plan on using the truck intake and wiring harness and accessories. i want to keep the engine stock except for exhaust and cold air. my questions are 1) what programming do i have to do. custom tune or flash mine for another vehicle 2) are the assesories bolt on from a 4.8 to LS1. 3) what injector size ls1 or 4.8.

1) custom tune. either a mail order tune, or go to a shop.

2) all your truck accessories will bolt right up to the ls1.

3) you might be able to get away with the 4.8 injectors, or look into the 8.1 injectors. the ls1 injectors are a different height and connector than the truck ones.

if it were me, (and I am actually planning out this swap right now...) I would at least upgrade to the TBSS intake manifold. it will really help the larger motor breathe the way it will want.
