Default ls1 fans cooling?

i just put ls1 fans on my truck this mourning and i got a few questions

I wired them to a manual switch until i can order the Fan controlling kit next week.

i drove about 5-7 miles kinda hard with the fans off in 55* weather stopped at a few lights also and it never got over 210 stayed right around there.

now on the way back with the same driving and had the fans on the whole time the temp didnt really drop below 205-200..

this normal with stock thermo?
i have them pulling the air away from the Radiator pushing the air towards the motor.

btw again heh...

i mounted them with connectors down so not upside down.
i zip tied them up on the top and slide the bottom piece under the radiator where it kinda wedged it in there
sound good?

Make sure that the fans are bot running in the right direction. I wired mine up ant one was pulling and one was pushing. Just swapped the wires and it was fixed.

With a stock thermostat that sounds about right.

it sits behind the radiator where the clutch fan was and pulls the air from the front of the radiator to the back. it'll over heat if you have it pushing against the way the air would naturally flow past it while the vehicle is on motion
