Default ls1 edit

I was wanting to buy ls1 edit and autotap later on but I dont have a laptop,can it be run off your desktop and how hard is it to use. Also can I put it back stock if it goes in for repairs.

i guess it could be run from a desktop but good luck getting the cable to reach from yur PC to yur truck <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

It shouldn't be a problem running an RS232 extansion cable to the truck from your desktop PC. Your best bet would be to set the PC up in a close spot, like the garage. It would save alot of leg work.

You can put the settings back to stock, but there probably won't be any need to. It isn't like the hypertech. If the dealer overwrites it, just upload the changes back to the PCM.
