Default LS1 cam package

I don't know a whole lot about cams for my truck, but from what I have heard I think I am going to go with a stock LS1 cam. Does anyone know where I can't find a good package for a reasonable price? Has anyone done this to their truck? Also, will I have to get the truck tuned for the new cam? thanks

unless its for price get a "real" aftermarket cam. Or at least an LS6 cam!

edit: www.cmotorsports.com has packages if you want one.

I agree with TreyZ28. unless it's a steal, get something a little bigger.

If I put in a Z06 cam, would I just have to change out the springs or are there other things that have to be changed? I have also heard that with the z06 cam you loose some low end power but gain a lot of high end. Would it be a good idea to stall it?

I talked to the guy who would be installing my cam. He told me to just go with a LS1 cam because if i went bigger then i would have to change out the springs and that would cost a lot. So I guess what I am saying is that I just want a LS1 cam that will replace my stock one. I don't want to have to change springs or pushrods. I really don't want to have to get it tuned. Can anyone hook me up with a cam that i can just take my old one out and replace it with the new one. I'm just looking for mild power.
