i personally dont think it would be worth the time and money spent on the swap for a stock 5.7 cam

I did, but it was out of a 2000 vette, which I think is the better choice. I notice a difference, and the only reason I did it was because I did that whole swap for less than $100.

I would never spend the time or money to swap into another stock cam

If you don't want to spend too much money, get yourself an 01 ls6 cam. I have seen them go here for about $100.

well the point here is i have a ls1 from a 2001 or 2000 vette i'm going to stroke it and build it but until i have the money to do so my 4.8 is going to be in my truck. sooo to get a little more fun from the wait should i put in this cam or leave the stock one in. the only performance cam swap being done will be the one going into the ls1 stroker motor when i get the money for the build.
