Default LS1 block and heads with truck everything else

I have searched and cant find any info on it... I know that i can throw an ls1 shortblock in my truck and everything will work fine. But I read that it will kinda choke up on top end. My question is will my 5.3's intake, feul system, accessories, etc. bolt on to an ls1 block with ls1 heads? And if it does wouldnt this solve the top end issues? If this question has been covered a thousand times forgive my idiocy, and dont burn me for it.

if it were me i would just keep the 5.3 and do heads, cam, lt's, stall, and the typical boltons and be done with it. maybe some nitrous.

The only choking that will occur will be after ~6000rpms. Yes your 5.3 intake, fuel system, accessories, etc will bolt right up to the LS1 block and heads. I did that on my current truck before the LQ9.
You'll be fine on the top end if your still using the stock cam, now if you go with a bigger cam the next thing that may limit your top end is the exhaust setup.

any advice on the cam setup? I pretty much want the truck to be as fast as possible without losing everyday driveability. A nasty lope is fine just so long as it wont give me any reliability problems because it is my DD.

Look at the top at the sticky, there is a cam guide there.
Btw, I'm running a TR230/224 cam in my daily driver with no driveablity problems whatsoever.

tuning and setting up for the right stall/cam is the most important part. everything is a swap with no problems. As stated above check those cams out and I would looking into something around the 226/230 range 58X lift on 112-114 and to really see this engine come alive have your 5.3 liter heads P&P which will increase flow raise the compression and see a really nice gain. I would look at a 2800 stall to go that big on cam.

Any suggestions for cam and stall setup? Is your cam easily streetable... and one last retarded question and any ideas on 1/4 mi times with ls1 block and heads&n, a pretty nice size cam, 2800 stall, headers, k&n cai kit, jet maf, tb spacer, fal elec. fans, and a the right tune. oh the truck has the stock 3.42 and locker.

Mine is extermely streetable, once it's correctly tuned. Tuning is the key.

Now granted it isn't properly setup. I really should be running at least a 3K stall and Long Tube headers to get its full potential. Even with that I doubt it would be any worse.
