Default ls1/6 manifold swap ?

what would all be involved in doing a ls1/6 intake manifold swap with my 5.3? i know the power gains would be minimal but i think it would look pretty cool if i was to throw some color matched fuel rails covers on there as well.

im pretty sure they are a straight bolt up but you would need the fuel rails to match it up i would think and im not sure if the throttle body would match up. course i gues if you did enough o the engine it really wouldnt matter about your lowend and if its a freeby its worth looking into. the only thing that might casue a problem with bolting it up is im not sure if the port holes match up. i know they do on the 6.0L heads not sure if the 5.3 is any diff.

The car manifold has long enough runners to be able to keep the low end torque. In the testing that was done in Chevy High Performance the truck intake didn't show much of a gain at all in torque over the car intake and from 3000rpm up the truck intake couldn't compare to the car intakes.

Dont do it on a stock 5.3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although the power loss theory has been put to death by a few testers!

what are you talking about? dont speak about something you dont have experience with. the intake bolts up and doesnt have any issues with the head ports. the fuel rail will work just looks dumb sitting that high. and they dont have any issue with a 317 head or i would have a poor running truck. speak from experience bud!! i do
