texas speed has some prc 220cc stage 2.5 5.3 heads that flow 312 cfm at .600 on the intake. They say they are good for 50 rwhp

don't always believe what you read. do a killer valve job and some minor bowl work on the stock set IMO. most of the heads in question bump up the compression witch is not good for FI.

Get a set of 317 6.0 heads. They will drop the compression and flow great for a stock head. A zo6 cam will work great also unless you want to spend a few hundred dollars for 10 more rwhp.

yeah, i been lookin into different set ups and alot of people here in RI and some of my friends that have the 5.3HO just upgraded the stock heads and came out great for FI, and some got full custom set ups... just depends on how much i wanna spend i guess.

they drop the compression by how much? do u have any numbers to show? if its descent, then i will look into them further becuz i dont have that much more loot ta spend on the truck. and im pretty sure im gonna go with a zo6 cam cuz of financial difficulties ( -5 month old daughter- ) but shes worth it!

Dude, you have the L33 (right?), you have great heads already. As far as cam, why stray far from tried and true?
