LS1 to 2004 6.0 swap
#1
I have a 99 Wrangler with a LS1 /4L60E combo.
The LS1 is a 2000 motor and some piston slap in the morning and the miles are unknown.
I am going to pull the LS1 in a few days to rebuild over the winter.
I want to replace it in the short term with a 2004 6.0.
I will swap over all the accessories, intake and fuel rails.
Two questions.
Will my stock LS1 flexplate bolt up to the 6.0 or do I need the 6.0 flexplate?
I have a 2003 LS6 cam and a set of Comp Cams 1.85 roller rockers I want to put on the 6.0. I know the cam will work but do you see any problems with the rockers?
Thanks

The LS1 flexplate will work fine. I've used a 5.3 flex plate when I put in a LS1 and the same plate for a 6.0.
Not 100% sure on the rockers but I would just stay w/ the stockers IMO.
Btw, any pictures of your TJ? I'd love to have that setup!

The rockers will work just fine
....as long as they're intended for GENIII/LS style engines, if they were on the LS1 they will work on the 6.0

Even with the Comp rockers the LS6 springs will suffice.
