Since your intake was originally used in a DBW application, there isn't a throttle cable bracket or mount already there. So you'll have to make one or modify one in order to run a DBC throttle body. It's been done by many, there's plenty of options out there.

You just need to make sure that you can achieve WOT when you're all done. Like Keniff's pic above.

 

I have the entire UIM set-up including the TB. I can modify that bracket or look else where for a starting point?

 

I'm not familiar with the UIM setup you have. It might work just like it is, without modifying it? Do you have any pics?

I have the complete UIM and cable driven TB set-up from 00 Chevy 2500 Series.

I thinking using the bracket from that TB for this as a template of some sort?
I will post pics of the TB bracket once I de-thaw my TB since it is coming from Alaska ; )

 

Wait a sec. Does UIM = Upper Intake Manifold? When I read this earlier, I thought you were referring to a brand of a part.... whoops.

 

Ill get you a pic of mine. All i did was use 3 mounting points and slide the 99-02 cable bracket back far enough to open 100%. i thought i was having "return" issues with the tb blade so i added a carb spring to help the blade close
