Hey guys whats up? I just got a few questions. I am trying to decide what LS series engine I want to put into my 2000 regular cab short bed silverado. I was thinking a LS2, or should I look at a different LS series engine? However i am not sure where to buy it (any ideas)? I also want to do some mods to the engine before it gets installed into my truck. Should I get a turn key engine and do small mods? or should i just buy the crate engine (non turn-key) and rip that apart and do the interal mods and then install. I am not sure on what I should do? Any ideas

 

If you have a V8, you already have an LSx based engine. Are you looking for more cubes?

I currently have a 4.3L V6 with the 4L60E. I have a hypertech Chip, K&N air intake, and flowmaster exhaust. I am looking to upgrade to a V8.

And what exactly are you looking for in the V8? Do u want to race it or just some dyno queen, etc let us know?
