Default LQ4 wants heads

i have a LQ4 and i want to put a set of heads on it to bring up my compression. i dont know much bout all the internal engine stuff, and have read through the forums, but im still lost as what to go with. i have seen and heard of puttin on CNC LS6 heads, CNC LS2 heads,..... so can ya help me out guys. id like to get my compression up to around 10.5 to 1 for as little hassel as possible. i would like just to bolt them on and be done (well of course with a retune). thanks

what head casting is on it now??? milling the ones you have would accomplish the same thing, and you wouldnt have to buy a whole new pair of castings.

I went with Patriots stage 1 243's, which are basically LS6 heads without the sodium filled valves. With the LQ9 it was around 11:1 ratio. With my own tuning I was able to run 87 octane and no detonation and still had decent power.
