Default lq4 or lq9??

wich engine is better and why???? any info would be appreciated....thanks

From 01-04 the lq9's had slightly beefier rods, flat top pistons.. Lq4's had flat tops in them.. They both are great engines.. In 05 both the 9 and 4 received the same rods, but kept diff pistons.. So take you pic.. One is not really any better then the other besides less then a half point of compression.. So if your looking try to find a 05 up, other wise anything after 01 will work
