My books is over 2 yrs old and doesn't mention LS2 motors (maybe to new)...and the rod partnumber it shows are the same for LQ4 and LQ9...maybe the LS2 uses the same part

05+ LQ4's changed over to some of the lS2 architecture. Rods, timing set, cam bearings. All LQ4's have dished pistons and 9.4:1 CR IIRC. All LQ9's have flat top pistons and about 10.1:1 CR IIRC. LQ9's had LS2 rods from the get-go. They both have the same heads (317 casting).
