LQ4 Bolt-On Mods
#1
2005 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 here. Having a little fun racing around, it packs it in on stock Cummins trucks and a few others, but I'd like to make it a little more fun while keeping it relatively stock and streetable... for now anyways.
I know LS engines respond well to air mods... Intake/TB?? If so which other factory parts from other GM engines work best/produce the best results?
I'm already hunting for a decently priced used set of longtubes. I will be hitting it with HP Tuners or getting a programmer with a HUD in the near future.
And any other advice/comments are appreciated. I've always had small blocks(350's, 305's, etc..) and those are easy. This is my first venture into the newer GM engines as far as modding, as I've been driving this truck daily for a couple years now. I'd like to sled pull this thing, but keep it in the stock or stock altered class. Budget minded tips are always helpful and welcome as well!!!!
