Okay guys, I'm glad to see everyone is tuning in.......I had my cats removed , then gutted and re-installed...for legal purposes......and have no muffler along with my ORY pipe.......loss of a little low end, sure....but still sounds good. So, I love the sound of the Hooker Aero, but I've never heard the Maximum Flow.....how's it sound

i've the the hooker aeros w/no cats an an x-pipe dumped before rear axle, quieter than my flowmasters at idle, but screams at WOT, but i've got some cutouts to go on too, as soon as i get my LT's

I had a bullet muffler before my flowmasters and it was loud compared to my flows.

I don't actually know who makes the blue bottles, all I know is that it was the smallest bullets that the muffler shop had and it sounds wicked once they burn out. And I still have my cats on, it gives a nice loud snap, the only thing i would have done differently was to go to 2.25" with my 4.8 since 2.5" is pushing it. The smaller you go, the more snap. And I believe that bullets are louder than flows once they burn out.

Get the mufflers hot then put a water hose up the exhaust. It cracks the fiberglass in the mufflers and makes them even louder!!! WHAT??? I CANN'T HEAR YOU!!! My brother and his friends used to do that way back in the day (early-mid 80s).
