Default Lost ET but gained MPG

Well, I am not 100% sure but so far it seems I have gained about 1-1.5mpg with the addition of the Tonnoue(sp?) cover. I used to only get 320mile before my gas light would come on. Now I can get to 320 right about the 1/4tank mark but still about 20-23miles before the gas light would normally come on.

But I also lost about 2mph and some ET with the addition of this heavy as hell cover (150+lbs) and putting my tailgate back on (45lbs)

It makes the truck look much cleaner though so i will just keep it on except on race days and with the addition of the turbo and all that extra TQ it wont make that big of a difference for daily driving. Hell if anything it'll help me keep from spinning the tires so bad when I don't feel like putting it in 4wd

Yeah, I've said it before, I lose about a half second in the 1/8th just from having my g/f in the truck. I didn't realize our tailgates were that heavy for some reason. It would be pretty easy for me to drop ~200lbs or so in just stereo equip, tailgate, carpet kit and passenger seat.

Wow, thats alot. Dont take this wrong, but the addition of 100lbs. usually drops your ET .1. And if you drop 100lbs, you should run .1 faster.
So i guess you like the really, really big boned girls.

Just kidding, all in fun.

How big is your tank ... I only get about 250 miles on a good tank before my light comes on.

LOL ... I don't think I got that good of a mileage even without the blower. I know I didn't ... well, not 400 anyways.

with my 01' silv with the 4.3L i could start out in Jacksonville, Fl and drive well into Lousiana before the gas light came on. It would come on with about 550 miles on the tank. But it didnt have the ***** of a 5.3, so it had to go. I do miss that milage now though.
