Just wondering i am trying to sell my wheels. i weighed them today and they weigh 83 lbs!!!
I have noticed while pulling my 27ft camper that i have a hard time keeping it at 65! the motor is a 5.3, could the weight of my wheels affect hp/tq?
or anything to make pulling hard?
Opinions?

imagine running with huge shoes on covered in cement. you get the idea
the wheels will only affect the hp/tq by causing more to be used to get those massive wheels rollin.
sounds right. if not. someone else can explain......

The explaination above is enough to give you the idea.
Rotating mass is the worst kind of mass. Each pound of rotating mass is equal to between 6lbs and 8lbs of static mass. Or so they say.
My stock rims with tires weigh 54lbs (265/75/16 Firestones). So that is almost the equivelant of you having over 500lbs of weight on your truck vs mine if all else was equal..
