I have never had any tuning issues with mine or others that I have messed with. I had a issue with a weak LS3 Tb servo motor but that was not a tuning issue.

The guy that tuned my truck said he can't get a x link to tune right. I'm going with a new tuner next time around. So hopefully he can get it.

Umm ya, there is very little to change in the tune with one. Basically you change the ETC area Scalar for the larger Throttlebody and thats it. I would say try a new tuner. ETC Area should be changed whether you are using a x link or not, that is for the throttle blade area calculation.

I run a gold blade with my xlink. It's not the latest version either. Just had it tuned last month. I talked to another tuner who said silver blades seem to have less issues with a xlink. Said he tunes with them all the time.

I'm definetely going with a new tuner then. Not sure why he can't tune a x link. But he told me that when I first took my truck to him for the tuning. He said he has a very hard time with them.

How far from KY are you, there's a tuner here that's well worth the drive if you're up for it.

Sounds more like the tuner has trouble tuning with 90mm TBs. There is no tuning required for the X-Link itself. But you might want to decrease the Throttle Area Scaler a little for the larger throttle body to decrease the amount of idle learning required after a reflash or battery disconnect. I use .0158 for 90mm TBs. Any issues that the tuner has would also be there with a larger TB that was designed to work without an X-Link.
