Looking for real world experience with btr stage 2 truck cam
Dyno numbers or just how it feels. Looking to stay with a stock convertor for money reasons. Truck isn't a dd as I have a Company truck.
2004 sierra 5.3 2wd rcsb, long tubes with off road y, 3.42 gears and 22" wheels (truck is a turd with these heavy wheels). I do tow a little bit throughout the year. |
I just installed the BTR Stage 3 cam, truck picked up 51hp at peak.pulls great especially up top http://www.gm-efi.com/tech/btr-bumpstick-wake-call-blue-magic-finds-groove/

You will probably want to install 3.73 or 4.10 gears. I have a stall convertor already and I am doing gears soon.

The Stage II looks very similar to the Comp Cam 112/118 high lift.

Stg. 3 right here still needs a retune but you can definitely feel the kick above 3k. It has really good street manners Imho but I'm in a heavy cc so tc is gonna be a must

to the guys that have used the BTR stage 3 cam, did you guys use your stock pushrods? i saw that it said you are able to use the stock pushrods

I reused stock pushrods and I also have a stall convertor(3200). I would recommend a stall with the stage 2 also but you could go lower like 2500. However it's not required.my truck is a RCSB as you can see in the article.
