Default Looking to put LTs on a lifted truck

Its a 2007 gmc sierra 2wd 5.3, has a 13" lift with 38s

I need some more torque and heard that LTs will give me some torque down low, is this true?

Im thinking of going with LPP LTs, whats your guys opinon on these?

Worth the money?

And no I cant justify spending more than $500 on some LTs I just want alil more power down low.

Yes I do have 4.88 gears

helped me out. I just have basic pacesetters, a home-made dual 3" catted into single 4" midpipe, and a dynomax race muffler...and love it. It felt like it can actually breathe now, and picked up some torque down low. With stock gears, it would spin my 34's from a slow roll.

I notice nothing down low with headers. The gains come above 3000 rpm imo. If anything, if you end up getting pipes that are too big in diameter, you may slow down your exhaust velocity and actually lose low end power.

hold on to your 500 and save up untill you get another 500... and then with the 1000 go to a junk yard and get an LQ4 and then there you go instant torque... haha.. this is what i did.. it worked well id say... haha..

but on another note what about a converter... like a yank TT2600 should help get them big tires moving easier.....

for 475 you can get the 2600 or for 575 you can get the 3000....

You wont get all the benefits of lt's without a tune. There are alot of threads on here that discuss the topic in depth as to what gains you get and where. There is also more to it than just the header selection, y-pipe size and the rest of the exhaust make a difference as well.

360 ft lbs on the LQ4 vs the 5.3's 330 ft lbs or somewhere in that neighborhood. It may come on a little sooner but thats hardly what I would call instant torque.

Strap a blower on it. Now that is instant torque.

If you're looking to help improve your torque down low with headers, then a Thorley tri-y header would probably be your best bet. Not to mention, most of the headers available for our trucks have 1 3/4 primaries which really is overkill on a stock 5.3. Something with a 1 5/8 primary would be better suited for your needs.

I seemed to gain the most from my SW LT's in the upper RPM's, but didn't notice any difference off the line an low RPM acceleration. I didn't seem to lose anything though, just didn't gain either. This is going by my butt-meter btw, which isn't always the most sensitive lol

lmfao. Try 315 vs 375. The 6.0 has WAY more power under the curve.

I have Tri-Y headers and they're an improvement all over the powerband, specially in the midrange, right where you want it on a heavy truck. The truck feels lighter off the line.

i agree a blower would be more like instant torque.. but trust me for only 1000 bucks the 6.0 is like night and day difference
