What's the difference between a cam that has a split like a 216/224 and a 220/220. What does the split do, any benefits?

It makes the power band a little more broad, works super well with fi and nitrous, generally provides a more gradual smooth powerband.

Gotcha, I know I have always heard of people going FI wanting a cam with a split, rather than say a 220/220. For example the GT2-3 and LS6 cam would work well for FI trucks...

Run this: 222/226 .597”/.598” 111LSA +2 advance

Pat G speced that cam for me ground on EPS lobes for my 2600 stall shifting at 6600 rpm 6800 redline

I'm trying to decide on one for my 6L as well, except I'm lifted on 35" mud terrains. I currently don't have a torque converter, but hopefully will soon. I just took out my 212/218 on a 114LSA and am looking for something to give me a little more power and sound a lot meaner. Just weighing out all my options and seeing if I should be looking for something with a split or get something like a tsp 220 or 224
