Default Look out world, I purchased me some ET Performance heads

I'm still shaking from buying them tonight. I never thought I'd have the ***** to take the plunge but I did! They're being shipped Monday so I'll have some pics by the end of next week for you guys. The specs on the heads are as follows............

Cylinder Head: G III LS1 11° Application: Street / Race
Port Volume: 215cc Chamber Volume: 60cc
Test Bore: 3.900" Test Pressure: 28.00" Water
Intake Valve: 2.040" Exhaust Valve: 1.570"

Valve Lift Intake Exhaust Valve Lift
.100" 74 57 .100"
.200" 152 106 .200"
.300" 219 150 .300"
.400" 266 190 .400"
.500" 301 204 .500"
.550" 312 208 .550"
.600" 320 211 .600"
.650" 323 214 .650"

Think I can break my 5 speed now??? I have to order some ARP head bolts yet and some gm head gaskets and we're ready to rock 'n' roll. At the same time I do the head swap I'm going to reinstall my 90mm tbss intake manifold. Hopefully I'll be able to hit 430RWHP and 420 RWTQ with the new setup

Now, we're talking! Those are some stout flow #s, and they're not even on a 4" bore! The flow on those at .4 and .5" is pretty impressive

For me though, I decided that staying N/A just wasn't going to satisfy me. Expecting big block torque out of small block isn't going to happen.

At any rate, these heads should outperform the AFR's for the particular setup I have. This is my last attempt and wringing serious power out of my truck. Anything else will involve more cubic inches.

BTW, is there a head swap write up anywhere for our trucks? It's self explanitory, however do the accessories and bracket need to come off the drivers side of the motor or not? I suppose I could go outside and look but don't feel like waking anyone in the house up at 1:30AM. I'm just trying to plan everything out.

I would think you could just unbolt the accessories that mount on the head, but pulling the entire bracket off would give more room to work with.

I had help from Zippy, but was honestly shocked how easy the head swap was. Technically, no accessories need to be removed, but removing the alternator is good to allow for free movement. The bracket stays on.

psssst, a lot of guys are having to wait months to get a set. You better put your order in soon or you'll be waiting a lot longer. I was lucky enough to find someone who was in an "unfortunate situation" and needed to sell them for the money. I on the other hand had the money and could pay immediatly. I still can't believe I did this. This is the single largest purchase I've made for my truck.
