I get more and more impressed with each new pic, you do really awesome work man! Curious as to why you're using 3 bolt flanges as well as the threaded adapters on the header collectors?

Thanks man.

The 3" screwed couplers were an 'after-thought'....I didn't feel like pulling the headers back out to TIG a coupling onto the collector so I made those adapters.
When I finish building the 383 I'll get rid of the adapters and weld the screwed coupling straight to the colectors.

Cut the holes for the O2 and EGT bungs

and welded them in

Fitted the crossover. Had to drop the trans crossmember to get it in there (could have installed another screwed coupling but didn't want to...trans crossmember took 10mins to move and re-install).

May need to extend the straight section from the headers to give a little more clearance around the t/fer case. Currently about 1/2" (pic's don't show it well).
I'll see tonight when I sit the other side in place. I kinda 'guessed' the length on this side due to not dropping the crossmember to measure it.

Yea, looks like a tight squeeze by the transfer case there, but as you mentioned, can't really tell by the pics...looks like they're touching, but pics will do that.

Got the system finished to the mufflers last night...complete and hanging on the original hangers.
Ended up angling the mufflers to tuck them up above the frame rails a bit better.

Started on the tail pipes....but decided I needed a break and got no further.
3hrs sleep a night for about 6 weeks gets to you after a while. I was just happy it was all hanging up and locked together.
I screwed the turn downs on and drove it home....NICE!!!

It looks like a well thought out system and nicely executed! Everything is nice and tucked in there. You must have good access to food grade material, as that’s what it looks as if you’re using.

Thanks...yeah...you could eat off it. Lol!
Tucking it away was a pain...but worth the effort. It's a 4x4....there should be nothing hanging from under it.
My work was re-building and they were throwing out around 100m of 3" tube...so I asked if I could take it. Also about 20 elbows.

Little more progress last night.
ONE tailpipe made and fitted!
That was the difficult one.
