Default Longtubes and transmission lines

I have a 2003 tahoe I just installed longtubes and I noticed the tubes are resting on the transmission lines by the starter. Is it ohk to leave them touching? or do I need to try and bend them or wrap them in something. I'm just trying to make sure so I donthought tear up the transmission.

No, It's not ok.

If you can bend them out of the way that is a good start. If you can't get a enough clearance you may also want to consider a heat wrap to isolate them from excessive heat.

If they rub, the line can break through and it can spray trans fluid on the hot exhaust causing a fire.

How much can I bend them?, I tried to bend them alittle but was scared to break them what if I can't bend then off the tube will the wrap be good enough to make them not get to hot?

If theyre touching they will get as hot as the header.... They are durable steel lines you can bend them as much as you need to, probably best to start bending them an inch or two before they run and again the opposite direction after the contact point.... Just dont kink them and you will be fine!!!
