Default Longtube ?'s

I know this subject has been discussed to death and I have read posts til im blind. I have no doubt that lts can outflow shorties 10 times over but heres my question. How do lts affect my powerband. Will I lose low end hp and tq and is it even worth putting lts on a 5.3 with only intake and exhaust? Thanks!

Everything is a + with the right supporting exhaust. And it looks like you've got Corsa already, so the flow will be perfect, you just might wanna run cats if you don't want it real loud.

Yeah i was going to running a catted y with high-flow cats if i went longtubes. I had Gibson shorties on my 2004 4.8 and they were ok-ish. not much to them. Wierd thing is on Gibsons company page they say that the shorties for the 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2 yield 18hp and 32 tq. Thats gotta be bs.

now you have intake and exhaust....adding headers will be great, especially with a tune, so es its worth it, and with no cats, it will be loud, especially with the corsa

I think it's a great mod, if your running the y pipe I'd keep the cats otherwise youl get a real annoying tinny noise at half throttle... At least I did. I would go to a try duel setup with an x pipe if possible. When I did that it ran alot smoother and got rid of the tin sound

The x pipe is an interesting idea. So I shouldn't lose any low or mid range hp or tq with lts huh?

I didn't notice much difference in power between the two at low rpm, I did notice better high rpm power and if you plan on doing more mods in the future it's a must! IMO anyways. The big bennifit for me was getting that tinny sound out it was very very annoying with no cats and a y pipe

My StainlessWorks LT's and catted y-pipe didn't cost me any low end that I could feel, and they definitely helped out up top
