Default Long tubes?

I have a 2004 Yukon Denali and i was wondering if i whould be shooting myself in the foot if i only did longtubes and leave the stock catback? I know the headers will give me more hps and more tone than a catback. I want the truck to still be tame because it's my wife's truck. Any thought's?

What about a tune? Tuning alone will give the best results for the $.

I think you will see noticable gains even with the stock cat back, but you will be best off getting it tuned afterwards. If you want to keep it tame, since it is your wifes vehicle, I would personally choose some other modification. Headers will give you most noticeable gains on topend and they will be alot louder than the stock manifolds. What mods have you done so far?

Stock Y-pipe isn't gonna go on the long tubes. Need to get some aftermarket cats or hack up the stock stuff and Frankenstein mod the hell out of it.

what do u think about the nelson tune?

like they said, stock y pipe isnt going to fit the LTs unless u get an exhaust shop to make it fit, like im gonna have to do. or u can buy the LTs with ory and have them weld ur cats on the ory.
