Default long trip driving impressions trailblazer I6 converter

I have now put approximately 2000 miles on my truck since I had the trailblazer converter installed. the gas mileage has picked up .2 mpg on the hwy, town driving is about the same. Acceleration in second gear from 30 mph up is much improved. Truck is not as doggy at low rpms.
Passing power is also improved less pedal required to pass cars on the hwy.
I am about to get used to the looser feel of the converter, had some reservations about this as I drive about 60,000 miles per year.
My overall opinion on the converter is that it is a good modification, at a decent price, makes the truck funner to drive.

my best g-tech time before install was 15.07, the same et. and mph that is in my signature. my best et with the converter has only been 15.09 @93.2 mph. When I had the converter installed I also had a transgo shift kit, and vette servo installed. I do not have a custom tune, the torque management is holding my truck back pretty badly.
If I had to make a guess I think the converter will probably drop my et. by at least .25 seconds, and hopefully a little more! I will have a custom tune in a couple weeks then I should have some real world numbers.

The thing is, after the tune, you won't know whether it is the tune or the converter that made the difference. I can't believe that a looser converter would aid gas mileage...it just doesn't make sense. I mean, how could it? If the converter is looser, its gonna take MORE pedal to do the same thing it was doing before, or am I wrong at my conception of how a converter works. Glad your happy with it, thats the main thing, but the gas mileage thing has me scratchin' my head...but thats nothing new. I know my converter cost me at least 1mpg...maybe as much as double that under certain driving conditions....ie. having my foot in it a lot.
