Default Logging trucks info?

I've never had to log my trucks info. My tuner just asked if I had logs to send him, but of course I didn't. Does anybody have some suggestions on what to buy to do so? And possibly some tips on how to go about doing it? Does it require a laptop? Unfortunately, I'm still running on a desktop. Waiting for it to die, so I have an excuse to buy a laptop. Thanks for your help. Tim.

You would have to know what program your tuner is using or what kind of logs he can read as they tend to be program specific.

Also if you got a standalone data logger you can get by using a desktop for logging.

Yup, both HP tuners or EFI live can log your trucks operations. You don't need a laptop as the cable itself can do the logging but it sure makes it easier. The software will set you back a good chunk of change too.

I believe there are some programs that just do data logging and are probably cheaper, but I don't know what they are off hand.

I have Allen from Nelson Performance doing my tunes. Anybody know what program he uses, and what would go best with that to log?

Why didn't you ask Allen at Nelson Performance, who is doing your tunes, what program he uses?
He uses, and also sells, HP Tuners.

Last time I talked to him, I was at work and my break was coming to an end. I'd call him back, but he tends to be very difficult to get ahold of. So I figured one of you guys would know, which you did. Thanks. Do you happen to know if there is a stand alone logger for the hp tuners?
