Lets see:
1. Move idler pulley (accomplished by Speartech bracket or F-body tensioner)
2. Grind some stock brackets to fit Meziere water pump
3. Get F-body fuel rails and injectors
Is there anything else needed? I was looking at the following for power/show purposes anyway:
Nasty Performance fuel rails
LS6 injectors
Meziere chrome water pump (I believe the Meziere water neck will allow the intake to fit)
And I'd have to move the idler pulley to fit the electric water pump anyway.

Yeah....the $800 necessary for that intake.....
Unless you are gonna run BIG cubic inches with HUGE amounts of power I would save myself $400 and buy the LS6 intake....the LSX is a GREAT intake for someone running a blown 421 but on a 5.3 you will NEVER use the full potential of that intake

LS1 Edit to tune the new injectors.
You are better off getting a 97 C5 fuel rail with the return line. Then you can mod it to use the truck injectors and would take no additional tuning. If you changed to bosch injectors, you'll need to cut off yout injector wire connections and splice in some bosch style connectors.

I'm not really planning on the LSX at anytime in the forseeable future, but I was planning on doing these other mods for car shows and was wondering if any LS1/6/X intakes would work with those mods. BTW, I have LS1 Edit, so that isn't a problem.
So, the F/Y-Body injectors won't work on the trucks without cutting wires?

You do have to cut wires to make the f/y body injectors work....the truck injectors use a different plug so all you have to do is swap plugs (it's not real hard...takes maybe a hour total)
And yeah....you have all of the mods correct to make any of the LS* intakes work
