Stock, the newer ones run from 13.5-13.9 at around 100mph. I have heard they have no traction problems stock, but once the pulley is change, look out. I have seen many L's with just a pulley change and a chip in the 12's.

I've seen a L- dyno with under 5kk on it at 431/530 with only a pulley and intake.

as bad as it sounds I am really thinking about those new cobras.... Maybe next year when I have a little more money if they decide to make them in 04. Just the fact that about $2k in mods and you can have a 10 sec. car.....it just interest me somehow. Plus I know how much all us f-body guys hate mustangs and don't think they can run for **** (most can't). But I see a a 10 sec 03-04 cobra as a great investment with a ton of young kids willing to pay my car note on the weekends.

A free pulley change and you get 12-13 psi boost, $1000 or so on exhaust (depends on what ya get), an air intake, a custom burnt diablo chip from a friend of mine, some borrowed slicks, and a little special tunning that can be done for under a few hundred..maybe a gear swap...and your in easy 10's....the exhaust is the place where you could spend a few hundred or a few thousand.....

But I have no clue how well the clutch and drivetrain will hold up to that. so far they look to be doing great.

A pulley, air intake and slicks and with a good driver you can get some good runs around the mid 11 range.

Your not my friend anymore. They are some bad *** cars. I just wonder how the resale value will be. Really the only problem I have with them is the interior fitted to a 5'9" person. It's been a while since I sat in one, but it just felt small to me.

Greg,
I know what your saying about the size of the driver. I have driven 5.0 and the SN body style. I was not too impressed. I have ridden in a new body mustang but have not driven one yet. I liked my f-body cause I could stretch my legs all the way out and still have some room and I'm 6'2". The passenger leg room sucks a$$ in the f-body....but hell......I plan to be the one driving not riding.

the lighting may be slow for the money but with a few modifications i have not seen a chevy that can hang with it. the one i am thinking about runs in the low 8's to high 7's in the 8th.
