Not too many options for lifters out there, if any. I did just read an ad for an updated LSx solid lifter design but nothing for hydraulic.

ok... I knew I was forgetting something...

Lifters. And rockers....

What are the limits on the stock stuff? I'll be pushing big boost on a 408 with a 230/236 600 lift 114lsa cam...

I also have one that is bad. Just havent felt like pulling the head to change them. From what I have read, the stock GM lifters are as good as they get. :dunno:

BTW... which lifter/s let go on you guys? Mine is either in #5 or #7. Oh and I am running a FMS (cammotion) grind.

Is collapsing lifters a result of cam/spring swaps? Is the extra tension too much for the lifter? I'm getting a little paranoid with all of the ticky and tappy noises I seem to hear from my engine. Is this a common thing (the lifters, not the paranoia...I know that's common )?

depends on spring pressure. but if its a really big number it coulc be pushing it. the oil gets out of my lifters on my big block if it sits for a week or so, but thats because i am running 428 in/lbs springs

So with the cam and springs in my sig, would you say that I'm more paranoid than anything else?

Sorry if I hijacked this thread.
