Finally did the swap last weekend. Three days later got on it hard and lifter started ticking. Dont know what to do I removed a quart of oil and replaced it with marvel mystery oil it goes and comes back. Get on it and there it is.Will driving with it mess up the engine or will I'll be ok, I know Bigblock 572 ran it for like three weeks and it went away. Just annoying stop at a light and everybody can hear it.

 

I am assuming this is on your truck (sig). This happened to me when I did my valve spring swap, I just retorque (20 ft-lbs) the rocker arm bolts when the engine was warm and it fixed the ticking.

 

Tick is loud and it comes and goes let it idle and its back dive on highway and it starts all over.

 

Fixed it it was the oil pikup tube o-ring to much play it would wiggle and let air in double up o-ring and when i tightened it you could feel the o-ring's snug up tick,tock,knock gone.Thanks again v8.
