like i said, it's not a big deal and it's not a problem if it sounds louder under load. IMO, the annoyance isn't worth the fix, and it won't hurt anything. it has never caused problems for me or my dad who have owned 25+ chevy hotrods and boats with chevy motors over the past 20 years.

 

The only time my truck isn't ticking or tapping is when it's not running

 

this is one of the only lsx engines i havnt herd tap yet,lol. all my buddys 6.0's and 5.3's all tap, have for a while,but none as loud as mine is now.
