L92 heads vs. ported LS6/317s
#11
I see you're running 8.8:1 DCR
If I went with LS6 heads my DCR would have been about 8.5:1 or so. This was too high to run 87 safely if i had to? So the 317s milled to 68 will yield 8.2:1 DCR. The guy on the phone said he'd be surprised if there was more than a 5hp difference between the 2.

nothing is installed yet.
I really like the L92 heads, I just didn't feel like changing out all the things that it required. When you added up all the costs to swap over to the L92 setup for me, the price was the same as the ported 317s which flow a little less on the intake side, and flow much better on the exhaust than the L92.

^^^^^^ ran a sweet *** time with L92 stuff. I hope to run that good.
more air in = more power.
You will still have abunch of stuff to change to run the LS6 intake...less to run a l92 intake and you get the bigger TB...when the more air going in starts.
But those 317's will be nice.

Can't wait to put this thing on the track.
