L59 Engine rebuild costs

I would like to rebuild my L59 in my 2005 GMC yukon. I want to do cam,pistons,heads everything.... i would like to know costs, recommended items, and i would like yall to keep in mind later on after the build i plan on putting a procharger. Thanks

Costs comes down to how crazy you want to get, prices can vary so much.
How much power do you really want to push for?
What kind of stall converter and transmission will you be running?
I'd go straight to a 4L80e as the 4L60e is too weak and not even worth your time.
GEN 4 rods and pistons would be a good upgrade, they can handle upwards of 700-800hp. Or you could go with custom forged pistons and upgraded rods.
243's or 799 cylinder heads are better flowing than the older 706/862's. Not sure what that engine has for stock cylinder heads.

I would like it to push around 350-500 thats without procharger

Okay, well that's a huge difference in power and money you'd be spending. 350hp is somewhat easy to obtain on a 5.3 engine but 500hp is going to cost you a ton of money.
This is why boost is such a easy way to gain 100-200whp on an already modded engine. It would be a good idea to choose a camshaft that will work with boost, it might not make the most power off boost though.

Being an 05 it already has the better Rods in it.
Wiseco make's Forged pistons for the 5.3L "Junk Yard Dog"
It really comes down to what you want to spend. You can literally spend like 10K building a 5.3L
I would do a basic rebuild with what you have, Use the Wiseco pistons, A health cam geared for the procharger set up, and get the heads re worked.
IMO, I would get the OE heads re-worked and let it eat, But others will Probably tell you to find some 243's/ 799 heads, mill them and put good springs in them.
