missed it yesterday. just curious to see what he had to say about it. ah, why buy a stock performance truck. half the fun is doing the mods yourself. plus you can get the parts to your liking and probably be cheaper. obviously the other half is . there was a post here a while back about chevy not producing the silverado ss for 2003. anyone heard anything different?

I saw it also and I look at it as a preferance thing. People who buy them probably prefer a fast factory truck. Somthing that had me wondering though is if you watch the show the truck he drives has euro tail lights, and I dont know alot about fords but they dont come factory with them do they? Which makes me wonder if the truck he was driving was an everyday driver that someone let him use for the show and the owner put them in, or if now ford puts euro's in there L's? O well I just hope GM get's in on the sport truck market, and starts to produce a reg cabb SS.

**** out of my $33,000 truck like that, ford or not . well, maybe the owner let stacey beat the crap out of it on purpose because they released what they bought and are planning on getting rid of it soon. and yes, the euro lenses come stock

The L is a hell of a good truck, I hate to say it but I toyed with the idea of geting one. the only problem is the $34,000.oo price tag.

so lets do some math.

Lightning = $34,000.oo

GM (you can go chevy or GMC) SBRC $24,000.oo

+ Supercharger $5,000.oo

+ LS1 Edit (with scan tool and basic laptop)$1,000.oo

+ Refreshed 6.0 or 5.7 swap $3,000.oo, with a mild cam.

+ Full Hotchkis suspention $1,000.oo to make it hold the road like a lightning.

= A GM truck that can show a L its tail lights when ever it want.

Hey KeukaZ71, I see that you have borla exh. I was just wondering what size muffler, and series you have. Also do you still have the cat's on? I was thinking about borla , and was wondering what they sounded like on a newer truck. What price range is just the mufflers in? Thanks for any info.

it probably was a rep's truck. it probably goes to the nearest dealer after the rep drives it for 3 months. my father used to be a ranger boat dealership the rep for ranger would get a new chevy truck and ranger bassboat every few months. tell you what, some of those reps beat the crap out of them. guess that is what they are made for. ford probably needed to increase their sale numbers. the number of units (any auto) being sold are down due to our lovely economy
