Kooks Headers
Pulled the plug on a set of Kooks headers n Y pipe today....
#6752 as I won coupon from Ls1tech for $250 off.
I was thinking of the el cheapo Ebay headers but they have a 2.5" outlet and the fitment is questionable. So, get whatcha pay for ?
I will chop off the Y and go true dual 3" magnaflows as 2 of them are in the attic waiting for install. I have a 3" X pipe but dunno if I'll go to that extreme.
Was thinking of upgrading the ARH 1 7/8 into a 4" mufflex on my 2000 F body, but it already popped 560 rwhp so it's breathin pretty good.
Need pipes for the pickup, so, WTF

K, will try n post pics.
These headers are 1 3/4 primary's to a 3" collector.
I had 1 3/4 to a 2.5 " > a 3" merge on a 402 and it popped 490 rwhp with hand ported 317 heads and a fast 90/90, 231/237 cam. Wish I wodda stuffed that in my 03 Silverado, but did not know where the oil consumption was coming from. Upon removing the intake, I see the catch can I had was not catching NODDA !!!!
So for a stock cube LS1 .005 over, should breathe pretty good?.
Then if the LS1 shoots craps, incoming 402 !!
