also at what point in the year model does gm change there year model in vehicles. for instance my truck was biult in 10/99 so would that make it a 00' or a 99' . i know that all ford vehichles after the 6th month are considerd teh next year model. im asking this because of my stock pcm. or how can i tell by my vin#??

The knock sensors are under the intake, I can do them in under an hour if I'm in a hurry. The 10th digit of your VIN is the year, 10/99 will probably be a 2000 yr model with a 10th digit of Y.

yeah 2 sensors and if you're changing them because they've gotten wet [TSB out for that] you might wanna get a harness for them too. I think they run around $60/each from GM and the harness I think was around $20.

Would It Be Better To Get The Gm Ones Or Autozone? And No They Didnt Get Wet But ,they Have 215k On Them And My Timing Is Being Robbed Bad On Low End, I Mean Bad! So Before I Go To Get My Tune Fixed Id Rather Be Safe Than Sorry And Put Some New Ones In. The 99-00' Trucks Had False Knock Problems Right?
