Sure its the knock sensor throwing the code still? Give it a lil while, mine cycled on and off a few times before finally quitting for good. Have the codes read and get back to us

yeah this is just driving me nuts! ill go and get it scanned again. i read somewhere that the knock sensor takes readings from the o2 sensors also? mine dont thow any codes, but they are original to the truck with 123k miles... they are a bit rusty from being a coastal FL truck. i guess what im thinking is maybe something else is not quite right and the knock sensors arent getting a good reading from something else? the code was always low voltage

Are the connections to the main engine harness good and clean?

Did you torque them to exactly 15 ft-lbs?

yes, torqued to 15lbft, and connections are clean. i replaced the harness also and made sure the pins were and clean on the truck harness side.... could some other sensors be cuasing this? i run 87 octane, but i have an HD so i have the low compression motor that doesnt call for premium and i dont notice any pinging whatsoever... even being a 5-speed while driving in too high of a gear going too slow for that gear... i just dont get why so many people have this problem and no one has figure it out? has anyone taken theirs to the dealership and had them fix it for good? what did they do?

i'd look into the pcm, i read somewhere the same person was having some knock sensor issues and kept throwing a code he went through everything you mentioned just to find out it was the pcm

not saying thats what it is, its just something i read

yeah, leaning towards pcm now. just odd that now its just the rear throwing the code and the front is fine....

swap the wires in the connector for the sensors and see if the code swaps to knock sensor 1. if it does then the prob is between the connector and the sensor. if it doesn't then the prob is between the connector and the pcm.
