When i did my swap i had major faulse knock,i tried resistors like jlwz71/parish and got an SES ended up having Ed W. disable the knock sensors and it has been fine as long as i run 91 octain (thats as good as it gets here)no problem with detenation and have towed many time loaded to the max(major mountain pulls).I never have had to flat foot it on the hills so thats maybe why it's lived.Runs 28 degrees timing @WOT.

 

if your ever going to do a power adder i would try and keep those sensors working.

 

how would i be able to find out if i even have false knock?... autotap or somethin/... i was thinking about investing in the predator, since so people on the forum have it... but thats not going to be for awhile...

 

ok... i didn't really get your original question, no there isn't a generac upgrade that will give you any ET.

some of us(especialy 99's) see knock even when there isn't any(false knock), you have to have atap or some other monitoring program to know if your computer is seeing knock, then you have to make sure it if false and not real knock.

since you have a 2000 i wouldn't worry about it, later if you keep going with the mods you will eventualy end up with some kind of a monitoring program like atap and then you can look into it but for now just doent worry about it.
