I got a Duralast from Auto zone and it lasted about 60 days before it started doing it again. Warranty was only good for 30 days and I only saved about $10 Vs. the dealer...

Looked like OEM but re-boxed. I have a feeling the way they were handled and stored has alot to do with it.

Got a used one from the junk yard and it was fine for years after that...

Would 1 bad sensor cause the truck to run very rich? Would it be worth it to disconnect the harness at the back of the intake mani and check the Ohms or Mv?

I have also read that if the light is on for a significant amount of time that it can out the truck into limp mode. Don't think towing a trailer in limp mode would work very well.

I personally think any grease is too much, but i have seen others that swear by it! I have pulled light bulbs out that had had dielectric grease put in them that after a while the grease cooked and hardened to the point the bulb broke coming out, have also seen dielectric grease basically glue a connector together. Just personally not a fan of it, but if it is required a dab will do!

I am about to go unpack enough stuff to get out my DMM and Ohm the sensors myself. I called the shop they said they already ohmed them and said it was within specs but I could bring it back in for further investigating. He said they thought it probably had a knock but couldnt hear anything. I certinally dont hear or feel anything unsual at all with the engine somtimes idling its so quiet and smooth I forget its on and thats with long tubes!

Is it possible there is a knock and I am to deaf from working on aircraft to hear it?

If the knock sensors ohm within specs then what? could one be showing within specs but still be bad?

It is possibly the resistance could be within spec, but as they get hot the resistance changes! see it in solenoids all the time.
