Default Killed cats finally

A buddy of mine gave me his gutted Y pipe cause he got some LT's. I put it on last night, and with just the Y and no exhaust DAMN it sounds sweet. I need a cutout now. Well I had a few little leaks so I went to the trusty parts store, and man. I thought the magnaflow sounded badass with the stock y. Now it sounds any better , and still quiet when cruising about 70!! I'm liking my exhaust setup a lot.
Anyone know about how much gain I'm looking at with the gutted cats?

I'd like to see numbers too. Did you adjust your tune at all for the gutted cats?

I feel a little more resonance inside, but barely. Did you notice any difference in noise? Hahaha when I have the windows down and I get on it I can't hear the person next to me talking

WHAT? I can't hear you. No, no more noise. Not too much anyway. Sounds great at idle (the wife complains more, so I know it sounds better ) I had the tune done for gutted cats, just getting around to doing it The stock cats must have been starting to plug, cause it feels a lot stronger from idle on up. I was actually pinned to my seat for once in my truck.

How many miles on your truck? When we took the y-pipe out the cats looked brand new! I couldn't believe it....100K miles and not a single speck of carbon buildup or anything.

You know you're doing it right when the lady starts to complain....

Its all in the interest of gas milage Planning a bigger "economy cam" now and then an economy converter.

LOL...I think I gained 1.5 mpg. Being more efficient never felt so good.

what exhaust do you have?? I know that no cats and cutout is real loud sounds real good at WOT but, not good for a daily driver, but no cats and my cutout closed going through my borla sounds so good, and there is very little drone inside hardly any.....
